A 17 December incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near an unstaffed pedestrian crossing in Józefów, Otwock County. An 82‑year‑old woman approached the tracks too closely while crossing.

Railway Response

The driver of an arriving Szybka Kolej Miejska train noticed the danger and applied emergency braking. The train stopped immediately before the woman, preventing any collision.

Police Action

Police arrived and issued a fine to the woman for extremely careless behaviour near the tracks. The event was not classified as a train accident.

Train Service Impact

Passengers may experience up to a 15‑minute delay. Platform and track changes are in effect for the Pruszków–Otwock route, with apologies issued for inconvenience.
