Ukrainian Escapes Polish Police Convoy, Search Underway

A Ukrainian citizen fled a police convoy near Warsaw’s Białołęka district on December 18, prompting an intensive search by dozens of officers who began combing the area around the investigative detention center around 6 p.m.

On Thursday, 18 December at about 6 p.m., police patrols from the Warsaw VI District Command and a large group of preventive division officers, along with canine units, conducted intensive searches for the escaping man, who was believed to have fled from the area around the investigative detention center.

Origin of Escape Linked to Convoy

Unofficial reports suggest the man escaped from a convoy that was already being transferred to the Border Guard, which had been conducting deportation operations against him.
