Tusk to Meet Zelenskiy on Friday, 19 December

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Friday, 19 December, at the Prime Minister’s Office in Warsaw.

Meeting Confirmed by Prime Minister’s Office

The office of the Prime Minister announced that Donald Tusk will convene with Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the Prime Minister’s Office on Friday, 19 December. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 15:45, according to the Polish Press Agency. Mr Tusk confirmed the arrangement and said, “I will speak with President Zelenskiy again this afternoon. There is something to discuss.”

Tusk at the EU Council Summit

From 18 to 19 December, Mr Tusk participated in a European Council summit in Brussels. Government spokesman Adam Szłapka noted that if the council session does not run excessively long, the premier would speak with the Ukrainian president. He added that President Zelenskiy was keen that Mr Tusk also meet him in Poland on Friday.

Zelenskiy’s Warsaw Visit Schedule

During his visit to Warsaw, President Zelenskiy met Polish Senate Marshal Karol Nawrocki at the Presidential Palace. After 13:00 he is set to speak with the Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and will place flowers at a memorial board for MPs killed and murdered during World War II. Later, he will meet Senate Marshal Malgorzata Kidawa‑Blonska.
