Lifetime‑Banned Alcohol‑Drunk Motorcyclist Collides With Mazda, Hospitalised

On Saturday, 20 December at 2:20 p.m., a Yamaha rider with a lifetime driving ban and 2.2 ‰ alcohol collided with the rear of a Mazda in Koprki, Poland, and was taken to hospital.

Incident Details

At about 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, 20 December, a Yamaha motorcycle crashed into the back of a Mazda that was traveling on Poznańska Street, number 470, in Koprki (western Warsaw district). The collision occurred roughly 20 m after the Mazda had turned left onto Poznańska from Gołaszewska.

Emergency Response

Fire‑rescue, medical rescue, and police units were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters secured the area, cordoned off part of the street, and administered first aid, before handing the rider over to medical responders for further treatment.

Investigation Findings

Police confirmed the motorcyclist had a lifetime prohibition on operating mechanical vehicles and, upon breath testing, recorded 2.2 ‰ alcohol in his exhaled air. The Mazda driver showed no evidence of impairment or license violations.

Police Oversight

Police led the scene, determining the sequence of events and responsibilities of each participant. The incident follows a series of traffic accidents involving intoxicated drivers on this route.
