On Monday 22 December around 18:50, emergency services were dispatched to the Vistula following a call from walkers who saw a floating corpse.

Multi‑Agency Response

The operation involved six fire crews – including the city operational unit, a water‑diving team, and two boats – along with a medical rescue team and river police.

Body Found and Transported

22 firefighters located the remains of a man and moved them to the shore in the Śródmieście district. Police, under a prosecutor’s supervision, will perform identity confirmation and further actions.
