Lublin. Reckless behavior of a 39‑year‑old woman

On Saturday (August 16), water police patrolling the Zemborzycki Reservoir in Lublin spotted a woman calling for help. She was about 150 m from the shore and struggled to stay afloat, choked, and lost strength. Rescue boat immediately approached and police pulled her aboard.

Clothing and alcohol created a danger for the 39‑year‑old woman

Police cited two reasons that put her at risk. She entered the water wearing a dress to cool off, which hampered her movement. Additionally, she was intoxicated by alcohol. She was fined. “We appeal to common sense and safety rules. Under no circumstances should one enter water after drinking. Even a small amount, combined with high temperatures, can impair judgment. The consequences can be tragic,” the police urged.
