Davos 2026: Trump, Ukraine and the Spirit of Cooperation

World Economic Forum in Davos January 19-23, 2026, focused on cooperation despite Trump’s differing narrative.

Forum’s Cooperation Theme

The main theme of this year’s meeting in Davos was seeking the spirit of cooperation.

Although the speech of the President of the United States Donald Trump did not really fit into this narrative, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, in turn, spoke about an alliance of medium-sized powers that could, in some way, lead the world.

European Cooperation Essential

It was also clear that European countries must cooperate with each other to gain strength that will allow them to overcome economic difficulties and potential threats from the East.

Poland’s Role Highlighted

Poland and its importance for Europe in the context of industrial development or leadership were discussed in Davos at the Polish Business Hub, where the most interesting reports or ideas were presented to further strengthen our country’s position in Europe.

The presence of Polish presidents – two former: Andrzej Duda and Aleksander Kwaśniewski, and the current one – Karol Nawrocki, in this place shows that it was a place where, for a moment, the heart of Polish business was beating.

Dates and Location
