In 2026, Poland’s Sunday shopping regulations create uneven distribution with months complete bans and periods of increased sales.
Poland’s Sunday Shopping Regulations
Rules limiting trade, introduced by the Act on Restriction of Trade in 2018 on Sundays, holidays and selected other days, still rigorously shape Poland’s shopping calendar.
In 2026, Sunday shopping days are not distributed evenly across the year, creating months with complete bans and periods of increased sales.
Complete List of Sunday Shopping Days in 2026
December 2026 will have three Sunday shopping days, according to the government’s plan to facilitate Poles’ holiday preparations.
Months with Complete Shopping Bans
In 2026, several months will have no Sunday shopping days at all. The complete ban applies to: February, May, July, September, October and November.
Emergency Shopping Options
Even when a shopping ban is in place, certain types of establishments can conduct sales without restriction.
If you need urgent purchases on non-shopping Sundays, look for them at gas stations, pharmacies, flower shops, and facilities at train stations, airports and ports.
