Andrzej Duda Bites Back at Donald Tusk. ‘Everyone Saw How You Were Kowtowing’

Polish President Andrzej Duda attacks Donald Tusk, accusing him of kowtowing to Berlin and Moscow.

Tusk on Lobbying by Former and Current Presidents

Donald Tusk accused Karol Nawrocki and Andrzej Duda of preferring to lobby for the interests of other countries rather than “stand guard over the dignity of the Nation and the interests of the Polish State.” This is about the reaction of the former and current presidents to Donald Trump’s dismissive comments about NATO allies.

“We never needed them. They’ll say they sent troops to Afghanistan. And they did, but they stayed a bit behind, a bit away from the front line,” said the President of the United States.

Duda: Tusk Kowtowed in Berlin and Moscow

“Building and strengthening PL-US relations is the foundation of Poland’s and Poles’ security in difficult times of Russian threat. Especially after Donald Tusk harmed Polish interests by publicly calling Donald Trump a Russian agent,” commented the former president.

“On whose orders did you do this, Mr. Donald Tusk? Berlin’s or Moscow’s? Because everyone saw at the time how you were kowtowing in both places,” he added.

Duda Defends Trump

On Thursday, on RMF FM, Andrzej Duda stated that he “sees nothing in this statement that would justify the word ‘sorry,’ and the American leader ‘offended no one.'”

“If President Trump looks at it from the point of view of how engaged the American army was and how many American soldiers died, then no NATO army can compare in terms of losses with the American army,” he said. Duda admitted Trump’s statement was “unfortunate and clumsy” but noted that “it’s good that Polish authorities drew attention to it.” He also claimed that “those who are making the biggest fuss about this are those who until recently treated the Polish uniform with contempt.”

Duda in Organization Associated with Trump

In recent days, the American Heritage Foundation announced that it is beginning cooperation with Andrzej Duda. The organization is closely associated with Donald Trump and produces personnel and projects that the US President uses.

Andrzej Duda’s role in the right-wing think tank is to involve advice, analysis and promotion of Polish interests in Washington. He was invited to cooperate and presented as a “distinguished visiting fellow” – an external expert with experience in Central and Eastern Europe.
