Suspect Confesses to Strangling

According to RMF FM, the 24-year-old suspect provided testimony and admitted to strangling the 14-year-old during an argument. The man participated in a procedural experiment to reconstruct the incident. Investigators have not yet disclosed the reason for the dispute between the victim and the suspect.

“The court ordered arrest because there is a fear of escape, the suspect hiding, or unlawful influence on the course of the proceedings,” said Prosecutor Marcin Kubiak from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrów Wielkopolski, quoted by the radio station. The 24-year-old faces a potential sentence of life imprisonment.

Connection to the Victim’s Family

Media reports indicate the 24-year-old was in a relationship with the victim’s mother.

Discovery of the Body

On Thursday morning (January 29), the body of a 14-year-old Ukrainian citizen was found in the hallway of an apartment in Kępno, Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. The teenager lived there with her mother, who was reportedly at work at the time of the incident.

Services entered the premises because neighbors reported water leaking from the apartment. It turned out that one of the faucets was open. There were no visible signs of violence on the girl’s body, but an autopsy showed that the cause of death was strangulation. Super Express determined that the 24-year-old suspect was connected to the murdered teenager’s mother. Police confirmed that the man visited the apartment.
