Polish social security agency ZUS saw record debts of nearly 47 billion złoty in 2025, with average debtor obligations rising to 35,000 złoty.
Average Debt Increases
Average debt to ZUS in 2025 amounted to 35,000 złoty, an increase of 2,000 złoty from the previous year and over 4,000 złoty more than in 2023.
Growing Number of Debtors
The number of debtors also increased, with 1.326 million taxpayers struggling with unpaid obligations in 2024, compared to 1.323 million entities the previous year.
Record Total Debt
These factors contributed to a record total debt of nearly 47 billion złoty in 2025, up from 43.6 billion złoty in 2024.
Unchanged Records
The only unchanged figures were the record single debt at 819 million złoty and the minimum debt amount at 0.01 zł, both unchanged from the previous year.
