Incident and Initial Response
A 37-year-old woman sustained a head injury after striking her head against a table corner at a party in Ostrów Mazowiecka county on Sunday before 2:00 AM. The injury caused profuse bleeding, necessitating medical assistance. Małkinie police arrived first, confirming the injury and applying first aid to stop the bleeding.
Medical personnel arrived subsequently and determined the woman needed hospital transport for examination.
Escalation and Aggression
During transport preparation, the woman became verbally abusive towards paramedics, pushing one and biting a finger. Officers intervened to calm her so paramedics could reapply the dressing. She then escalated, insulting police officers, threatening dismissal from service, kicking an officer, and biting a hand.
Her aggression required two additional police patrols. Officers accompanied her in the ambulance due to ongoing threats, endangering herself and paramedics.
Medical Treatment and Legal Charges
At the hospital, the woman received medical care. She was then transported to Ostrów Mazowiecka police station and detained. After sobering up, she faced charges: insulting and assaulting police officers and paramedics, and making criminal threats. She faces up to three years imprisonment.
