Nawrocki’s Spokesman Attacks Czarzasty and Sivec, Calling Them “Caviar Post-Communists”

President’s spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz criticized Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Marek Sivec, labeling them “caviar post-communists” on February 5.

Spokesman’s Criticism of Czarzasty

President’s spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz stated, “Let’s not get drawn into the narrative built by caviar post-communists, such as Marshal Czarzasty. Anyone who holds important state positions, like Marshal Czarzasty, became Sejm Marshal through political arithmetic, Donald Tusk’s decision, not through general elections, but through political decisions.”

Leśkiewicz added, “Therefore, Marshal Czarzasty’s past, in the context of his current actions, including his involvement in the Rywina affair and business contacts with a Russian woman connected to Sberbank and the Kremlin, requires clarification. There is no second bottom here.”

Response to Sejm’s Letter

Leśkiewicz also commented on a letter from Marek Sivec, head of the Sejm Chancellery. “What’s funniest in Marek Sivec’s letter directed at Minister Cenckiewicz? It accuses President Karol Nawrocki, when he was a young man supporting his family, of working physically at the Grand Hotel and being a bodyguard. An accusation is made. And there are still many errors in the letter.”

“This is a nervous reaction from Marshal Czarzasty and Marek Sivec, these caviar post-communists who, sitting in the comfort of the Marshal’s office, invented some alternative narrative for a very serious problem,” emphasized Leśkiewicz.

Security Services Clarify Position

On February 5, Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Marcin Kierwiński commented on the matter. “I treat this as cheap politicking. After all, we all know that the Marshal is under counterintelligence protection, we all know that if there were any doubts, the services would have to react. The President and his advisors know this perfectly well, but they want to make political waves.”

“On Wednesday (February 4), Czarzasty said in the Sejm, addressing the President: ‘I have access to all the biggest information and the most important and most secret ones. After all, you have a statement from the press spokesman of the head of special services, who says that all my contacts were checked from beginning to end and there is no trace in any case, and I have access to all secret information.'”

“In turn, the spokesman for the minister coordinating special services conveyed that ‘Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Włodzimierz Czarzasty, who is under counterintelligence protection by Polish special services, has access to information with the highest secrecy clause.’ Jacek Dobrzyński emphasized that ‘special services have no reservations in this area and unconditionally implement the applicable regulations in this respect.'”
