US President: We Will Know in Two Weeks

On Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump was asked to comment on Russia’s attack on Flex Ukraine’s factory in Mukachevo. The facility belongs to an American consortium, with 23 people injured. “I am not satisfied with anything related to this war,” Trump stated, adding, “We will see what happens. In response to Trump’s comments, Lavrov said the Kremlin would get “a few more weeks,” though Trump did not clarify whether sanctions might follow. Earlier, a White House spokesperson indicated the U.S. administration is working to facilitate bilateral talks between Ukrainian and Russian leaders.

In a separate statement, Ukrainian President’s chief of staff Andrij Yermak announced that the first draft security guarantees for Ukraine would be released next week after discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
