Pruszków Riot: Gang Smashes Windows, Beats, Gasses Two Women, Four Detained

Four detained in Pruszków after gang smashed windows and attacked two women, one hospitalized with head injuries.

Incident Details

A riot occurred on Saturday at approximately 11 PM on Ołówkowa Street in Pruszków, resulting in injuries and property damage. Police received a report of a disturbance involving several individuals.

Following the beating with a dangerous instrument and gas, a 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen was taken to the hospital with head injuries. Police have detained four individuals and are conducting further investigations.

Attack Description

According to preliminary information, a group of aggressive and intoxicated individuals were moving along Ołówkowa Street. At one point, two men began hitting a ground-floor apartment window with a wooden club, damaging the glass.

A witness reported that the individuals damaged approximately 9 windows in ground-floor apartments. When a 29-year-old Ukrainian woman came out of one of the damaged apartments to demand compensation, a woman joined the two previously mentioned men, leading to a scuffle between the women.

Victims and Perpetrators

The woman’s mother-in-law came out to help the 29-year-old, and at the same time, one of the men struck the 29-year-old in the head with a wooden club. Both the mother-in-law and the 29-year-old woman were sprayed with gas by the attackers.

The 29-year-old victim was treated at the hospital and left the facility after a few hours. Three people were detained on Sunday: a 45-year-old woman and two men aged 50 and 23 years, who, according to preliminary findings, directly participated in the incident. A 35-year-old man was also detained on Monday morning.

Police Statement

According to official police statements: “Police from Pruszków have detained four individuals who, according to preliminary findings, are connected to the beating of two women. The incident occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday on Ołówkowa Street in Pruszków. The detainees are three men aged 23, 35 and 50, and a 45-year-old woman. Procedural actions are currently being taken with them.”

“The victims are women of Ukrainian nationality. They were provided medical assistance after the attack. The injuries sustained do not threaten their lives. Police are still determining the exact course of the entire incident. They are also checking if there were other participants in the event. Information gathered so far does not confirm reports from some media that the attack was linked to a group of pseudo-fans of a local football team.”
