Tram Collision on Bielany: One Wagon Derailed, Multiple Injured

Two trams collided on Reymonta Street Tuesday evening, derailing one wagon and injuring at least 10 people.

Incident Details

A collision occurred at approximately 4:30 PM on Tuesday, February 10, between trams 26 and 28 traveling toward Nowe Bemowo on ul. Reymonta. The impact caused the second wagon of tram 26 to derail from the tracks. Both motormen were hospitalized, while six additional individuals received medical attention at the scene.

Emergency Response

Firefighters and multiple medical rescue teams are currently on site providing assistance. After police complete their investigation procedures, work will begin to re-rail the derailed wagon. The incident has completely blocked tram traffic in both directions along Reymonta Street.

Updated Casualty Information

A total of 10 people have been transported to hospitals as a result of the collision. This update increases the previous count of eight individuals who initially required medical attention.

Transport Disruptions

The Warsaw Tramway Authority reports significant disruptions for lines 19, 26, and 28. Line 26 is rerouted in both directions between Al. Jana Pawła II and Metro Młociny. Lines 19 and 28 have been redirected to the PIASKI terminal. Passengers are advised to use bus lines 112 and 184 between NOWE BEMOWO and AL. REYMONTA.

Replacement Service

A special tram replacement bus service labeled “Z ZA TRAMWAJ” has been established. It operates on a circular route: Al. REYMONTA 05 – AL.REYMONTA – POWSTAŃCÓW ŚLĄSKICH – NOWE BEMOWO 14 – POWSTAŃCÓW ŚLĄSKICH – AL.REYMONTA – AL.REYMONTA 06.
