A truck driver lost control on icy entrance to gas station in Przeszkoda, hitting a pillar and forcing the facility’s closure.
Accident Details
On Tuesday, February 10, around 19:30, in the village of Przeszkoda in the Grodzisk county, a driver of a tractor-trailer combination lost control of the vehicle on a slippery, icy surface while entering a gas station and struck a pillar of the canopy.
The facility was subsequently taken out of service following the incident.
Emergency Response
The incident occurred on the route toward Mszczonów. After hitting a structural element of the canopy, the fire department and police were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters inspected the station’s infrastructure and found no leaks, then secured the area for further operations.
Driver Status
According to police findings, the driver was sober and possessed the required licenses to operate such a vehicle combination. Further procedures at the scene were conducted by police officers.
