Republika TV Crew Outside the Myrcha and Gajewska Residence

On Saturday morning, Adrian Borecki, a Republika TV employee, and his cameraman were outside the home of Kinga Gajewska, a member of the Civic Coalition parliamentary group, and Arkadiusz Myrcha, Vice Minister of Justice, in Błonie, Warsaw County. Borecki posted footage of the encounter on X, addressing Gajewska as she exited her house. He asked, “Do you still receive that housing allowance for Warsaw?” and claimed viewers wanted to know. Gajewska ignored him, and after a short time, she returned to the house. The recording shows Gajewska’s husband opened the door, with their child also present. He immediately closed it upon seeing the TV crew.

Later that evening, Myrcha responded to the incident on X, stating, “Stop harassing us! We are in our home that is being used. Filming, shouting at children, or blocking the gate is mere harassment. If this happens again, I will take legal steps. We have a right to privacy. If you have questions, address them to the Sejm or our offices.”

Housing Allowance for Civic Coalition MPs

On October 1, 2024, media reported that Gajewska and Myrcha, who are married privately, receive a housing allowance from the Sejm office for renting an apartment in Warsaw. According to Radosław Karbowski, a political analyst on X, Gajewska receives 4,000 zł, and Myrcha receives 3,750 zł monthly, totaling 7,750 zł. This came after Gajewska previously declared she is registered in Błonie, near Warsaw, and it was known the couple is building a house there. Myrcha had earlier stated there were “numerous irregularities and altered circumstances” in the situation, adding, “The house is nearly completed, with finishing works ongoing. We aim to proceed as quickly as possible, though the process aligns with real-world complexities. We hope to finalize it within the next few months.”
