Śródmieście invites seniors to two final free guided walks in the “Senioralne Wędrówki” (Senior Walks) project. The first will take place on Tuesday, August 26, along Trakt Królewski, and the last event on Friday, September 12, through Śródmieście Północne. Participation is free, though advance registration is mandatory. Contact the Social Assistance Center of the Śródmieście District via the number 500 080 498 for details.

Route Themes and Highlights

The August 26 walk on Trakt Królewski will explore historical sites tied to figures like Marie Curie and Frédéric Chopin, the St. Anna Church, and end with a rest at a 19th-century fountain in Saski Garden. The September 12 walk through Śródmieście Północne will include streets such as Widok, Chmielną, Szpitalną, and the vicinity of Warsaw Uprising Square, as well as the Wedlów tenement house and the Belina-Brzozowskich palace. This will be the final walk in the entire series.

Benefits of Participating

Joining “Senioralne Wędrówki” offers seniors a chance to combine outdoor exercise with guided historical tours of Śródmieście. The walks promote social integration, regular engagement, and discovery of lesser-known areas of the district, all in a secure group format.
