Polish e-invoicing system KSeF faced authentication issues during launch, but technical problems weren’t the root cause.
Launch Issues Not System-Related
The National e-Invoice System (KSeF) launch encountered problems, but they weren’t due to technical failures in the system administered by the head of the National Tax Administration.
The actual failure was with another government tool – the Trusted Profile.
Different Authentication Methods Affected Differently
Taxpayers using certificates, tokens, qualified signatures or electronic seals for KSeF authentication didn’t face automatic obstacles to using the system.
However, users of the ePUAP (Public Information and Electronic Communication Platform) experienced different difficulties.
April Implementation on the Horizon
Although the February situation was technically only a preview, it offers hope that the April 1st implementation of structured invoice requirements for a much larger group of sellers won’t become an April Fool’s joke.
