Fatal Crash in Wilanów: Car Strikes Pillar, Driver Dies

Incident Details

Shortly before midnight on Przyczółkowa Street at the Klimczaka intersection in Wilanów, a tragic road accident occurred, resulting in the death of the 38-year-old driver.

Preliminary findings indicate the 38-year-old driver of a Ford failed to adjust speed to road conditions. The vehicle skidded on the slippery surface, spun sideways, struck a signpost pillar, and then a tree.

Rescue Attempt

The driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and used hydraulic equipment to extricate the man from the wrecked car. The injured man was resuscitated before being transported to a hospital.

Despite rescue efforts, his life could not be saved; he died at the medical facility.

Investigation Underway

Two fire brigades from JRG14, a city operational group, two ZRM teams, and WRD crews were present at the scene.

Further proceedings in the case are being led by police under prosecutor supervision. Investigators are determining the exact circumstances and sequence of events.
