Euronet Polska slashes BLIK withdrawal limits to 200 zł from February 19, forcing multiple transactions for larger sums.
Euronet Justifies Move with Economic Pressures
From February 19, 2026, Euronet users face significant disruptions. The operator is drastically cutting the BLIK code withdrawal limit to just 200 zł, down from 800 zł. The new restrictions apply to all Euronet Polska ATMs indefinitely, requiring many users to repeat transactions.
BLIK Operator Criticizes Decision
Polski Standard Płatności (PSP), operator BLIK, expresses irritation, calling the decision an attack on Polish comfort and security. Users needing 800 zł must now perform four separate code generation and cash withdrawal processes. PSP emphasizes this is Euronet’s autonomous move, unlike other banks or operators.
No Changes in Other ATM Networks
Consumers can still withdraw larger sums at over 13,000 other ATMs, including those owned directly by banks. Euronet machines branded with specific bank logos remain unaffected. Cash withdrawal services in retail store checkouts, offering more favorable limits, are also available alternatives.
