Stripper Performance at School Carnival Ball Sparks Controversy

Parents’ council at Jan Pawel II Primary School in Komorniki faces criticism after strippers performed at a charity carnival ball.

Unplanned Performance at Charity Event

Videos and photos from a carnival and Valentine’s ball organized by the parents’ council of Jan Pawel II Primary School in Komorniki (Łódź region) showed strippers performing. The event was intended as a charity fundraiser for the school’s pupils.

The performance took place at the Volunteer Fire Department hall in Żywociny. According to Piotrków Trybunalski Nasze Miasto, promotional materials for the ball made no mention of female and male strippers being part of the program.

Parents’ Council Apologizes

A representative of the parents’ council, Aleksandra Polewczyk, stated she “quickly interrupted” the show which, according to one sponsor, was supposed to be an “artistic dance performance.” The event continued after the interruption.

“Our mistake as the parents’ council was not checking what this pair specifically intended to present,” Polewczyk told TVN24. “But who would have thought it could be such a show?” She added a formal apology, saying “We sincerely apologize for this incident, which had no right to happen.”

School Distance from Event

The school administration clarified that no children or school representatives were present at the event. “The school was in no way informed about what ‘attractions’ were planned for the ball,” the school’s statement read, adding that “the events described are of course outrageous and damage the good name of the school and its management.”

The school emphasized that the event was an initiative of the parents themselves, organized independently from the educational institution.
