KIG hosts Diplomatic Opening of the Year 2026 (DOR), a forum for international economic dialogue amid global transformations and geopolitical uncertainty.

The event occurs during a pivotal moment for the Polish and global economy, amidst dynamic transformations in global economic cooperation models and rising geopolitical uncertainty.
Purpose and History
For eleven years, DOR has gathered representatives from public administration, the diplomatic corps, and the business community. It serves as a unique dialogue platform dedicated to international economic cooperation and strategic development directions.
Integral to DOR are networking meetings, fostering durable business and institutional relationships and tightening cooperation across different sectors.
Key Goals
The event aims to exchange experiences, identify key challenges, and present new opportunities for Polish businesses interested in foreign expansion. It enables direct conversations between entrepreneurs, diplomats, and institutions responsible for international cooperation and business internationalization.
Program Highlights
The ceremony will be opened by KIG President Andrzej Arendarski and KIG President Marek Kłoczko. A central dialogue titled “Economy Facing Tomorrow – Is Poland Ready for New Times?” will feature representatives from key ministries, including Foreign Affairs, Development and Technology, State Assets, Funds and Regional Policy, and Agriculture and Rural Development.
Two thematic debates will follow: a local government debate on international cooperation between regions and cities, enhancing resilience during global instability, with Marshals of the Masovian, Lower Silesian, and Podlaskie Voivodeships, and Presidents of Białystok and Toruń; and a business debate on the international expansion of Polish companies and building competitive advantage, featuring representatives from BGK, KGHM Polska Miedź SA, Hynfra P.SA, and SM Mlekpol.
The official part will conclude with a speech by the President of LOT Polish Airlines.
About the Organizer
KIG, the Polish Chamber of Commerce, is a leading, independent business organization that has supported Polish entrepreneurship for 36 years, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises. It comprises a network of over 160 chambers and business organizations and has been a member of Eurochambres and the ICC since December 2025.
KIG supports Polish business expansion through economic missions, international trade fairs, and foreign delegation services. It leads in ESG education via initiatives like the ESG School, provides economic knowledge through macro and microeconomic reports, and offers conflict resolution mechanisms through its Arbitration Court and Mediation Center.
