Frost This Weekend, But Pleasant Surprise Coming – Weather Forecast

Poland will see freezing temperatures this weekend followed by a significant warm-up next week.

Weekend Forecast

On Saturday, February 21, freezing temperatures will persist in some regions of Poland. The thermometer will show -4 degrees Celsius in the northeast, around 1 degree in the center, and 5-6 degrees in the west and south of the country.

On Sunday, it will get warmer. Thermometers will display 1-2 degrees Celsius in the northeast, approximately 4 degrees in the center, 7-8 degrees in the south, and locally 9 degrees in the west.

Weather Warnings

The IMGW has issued first-degree warnings against freezing precipitation. Alerts are in effect in the voivodeships of Pomeranian, West Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Lubusz, Greater Poland, Lower Silesian, Opole, Łódzkie, Masovian, and Warmian-Masurian.

First-degree warnings against thaws are also in effect in the Pomeranian and Lower Silesian voivodeships.

Upcoming Temperature Rise

In the coming days, temperatures in Poland will gradually rise. A significant change will be felt towards the end of next week. The thaw will cover the entire country. On Friday, February 27, temperatures in the southwest will reach even 15 degrees Celsius.
