A 38-year-old man was jailed for three months after threatening and injuring a woman during a social gathering.

A 38-year-old man will spend the next three months in jail after a court decision. He will face charges for causing bodily injury lasting over seven days and directing criminal threats against a woman.
Incident Details
Last year, the victim and the 38-year-old man met at a party hosted by common friends. During the gathering, a verbal exchange escalated when the man became aggressive toward the woman.
At one point, the man lifted the woman and dropped her to the floor, causing a broken sternum and resulting in bodily injury lasting more than seven days. The woman reported the incident to the police.
Repeated Threats
Weeks later, despite knowing about the ongoing proceedings against him, the man appeared at the woman’s residence and directed threats against her life and health.
The woman feared the threats might be carried out and reported the incident to the police again.
Arrest and Charges
The following day, the 38-year-old was arrested by criminal police from Bielany. After collecting evidence, detectives charged him with causing bodily injury and making criminal threats.
At the request of the Warsaw-Żoliborz District Prosecutor’s Office, the court applied a three-month pre-trial detention. The man faces up to five years in prison for the committed offenses.
