Warsaw Drug Network Dismantled: ‘Trade in Building Gates.’ Fake Hooligans Arrested

Police dismantled an organized criminal group linked to fake hooligans in Warsaw, arresting 23 suspects for trafficking over a ton of drugs including cocaine and crack.

Operation Details

Central Bureau of Investigation Police (CBSP), supervised by the Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor’s Office, conducted a coordinated operation targeting organized drug crime. The group, active since November 2024 in Warsaw and its vicinity, was responsible for producing and distributing significant quantities of narcotics.

According to investigators, the group introduced at least a ton of various drugs into circulation. Distribution occurred directly in building gateways, utilizing the unique architecture of old tenement houses. Criminal Investigation Department (KRP) Warsaw IV and VI officers supported CBSP.

Large-Scale Deployment

Due to the nature of the case, arrests were made with assistance from the Central Anti-Terrorist Police Unit “BOA” and regional anti-terrorist units from Białystok, Kielce, Lublin, and Warsaw. Over 300 officers participated in the operation.

Arrests and Charges

Twenty-three individuals were detained, including individuals linked to the fake hooligan scene of a Warsaw sports club and a group member acting as a “chemist,” specializing in converting cocaine into crack. Six fugitives wanted in other cases were also arrested.

Suspects face charges including leading and participating in an organized criminal group and producing and trafficking large quantities of narcotics. The court remanded 16 in custody at the prosecutor’s request.

Seized Assets

During searches, police secured 80,000 Polish złoty in cash derived from criminal activity.

Ongoing Investigation

The CBSP actions reflect a continued fight against drug crime. Cocaine and crack cause severe addiction, physical deterioration, psychological disorders, and aggression, fueling criminality including fake hooliganism and posing public safety risks. The probe is ongoing, with further arrests possible.
