Modus Operandi
Police officers from the Płock Commission, through meticulous operational activities, located and arrested the perpetrators of several thefts that occurred in February at one of Płock’s building stores.
The woman and man acted identically each time: paying about 30 zlotys for small purchases at the self-service checkout, they left the store with goods worth several thousand zlotys. The total value of the stolen loot is nearly 20,000 zlotys.
Recovery and Confession
Police arrested a “criminal couple.” In the garage of the 43-year-old Płock woman, they found part of the stolen goods.
The criminal police determined that the detained 40-year-old resident of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship performed renovation services using the stolen goods.
The perpetrators heard the charges and confessed to the crime. They face up to 5 years in prison.
