Accident Details
Police from Pilawa Police Station are investigating serious road accident circumstances in Wola Starogrodzka, Garwolin district. A 32-year-old cyclist was injured and transported by helicopter to the hospital.
Circumstances of the Crash
According to preliminary police findings, a 62-year-old woman driving a Hyundai struck one of two standing cyclists while performing an overtaking maneuver. The 32-year-old man suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Emergency Response
A helicopter from the Air Rescue Service was dispatched to the scene. The injured cyclist was transported to the hospital where he came under medical care.
Police Investigation
A breathalyzer test showed the Hyundai driver was sober. Police confiscated the woman’s driver’s license. “Procedural activities are being carried out” – informs Asst. Com. Małgorzata Pychner.
