On Wednesday (August 27) afternoon, radio RMF FM reported that Adam Niedzielski, former health minister in the PiS government, was admitted to the Voivodeship Hospital in Siedlce. Former Minister Allegedly Assaulted

Unconfirmed reports state that Niedzielski was attacked near one of the restaurants in the center of Siedlce by two men. “Tygodnik Siedlecki” published details of the incident. “Today around 3 p.m., near one of the Siedlce restaurants, two men beat a man who was hospitalized,” said Barbara Jastrzębska, a police officer from Siedlce City Police Command, in an interview with the newspaper. However, she did not disclose the victim’s identity, and the weekly’s findings also point to Adam Niedzielski.

Police Investigating the Incident

So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the case. Investigators are currently focused on securing surveillance footage and questioning witnesses. Radio RMF FM learned that the attackers openly criticized Niedzielski for his actions during the pandemic. Niedzielski headed the Health Ministry from 2020 to 2023. PiS leader Mateusz Morawiecki has since commented on the incident. “This shows the venom in politics! Control yourselves! I expect immediate and decisive action from the police,” he wrote on X.
