Lech Wałęsa Openly Talks About His Battle With Illness. “I Had a Bladder Tumor”

Former Polish President Lech Wałęsa has left the hospital in Gdansk after surgery and treatment, sharing his gratitude for the medical care in social media.

Some time ago, the former politician left the hospital in Gdansk where he underwent an operation and several procedures. “They removed what was unnecessary and what was growing backward. Thanks to the excellent doctor! I feel good,” he wrote a few days ago in social media.

“I hope I have conquered cancer. I had a bladder tumor. The doctors did something, expanded, and that was it. There was once health, now there isn’t,” he confessed, cited by “Super Express.” He thanked the medical staff, adding, “I’m already nearly 82 years old. At this age, I just have the haircut left. I also go to arm rehabilitation—I was there yesterday morning. Unfortunately, the arm is troubling me, but what can be done?”

Lech Wałęsa Travels to the USA

The former president also revealed he will spend the coming weeks in the USA. “I’m flying to the United States on Friday at 4 am. Tickets are sold out for my lectures. I will have a series of readings and lectures, starting in Los Angeles, then other cities, and finally Canada. This will continue until the end of October,” Lech Wałęsa stated. The former politician will attend 28 events, with the trip commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Solidarity movement and Solidarity Day and Freedom Day.
