IRGC and Basij Officials Killed

Iranian media reported on Friday the deaths of Mohammad Naini, spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Esmail Ahmadi, a high-ranking Basij intelligence officer.

IRGC Accusation of “Terroristic” Attack

The IRGC released a statement, cited by AFP, claiming the spokesperson “was martyred in a cowardly, criminal terrorist attack carried out at dawn by the American-Zionist camp.”

Ahmadi’s Role in Basij Organization

Tasnim, a news agency affiliated with the IRGC, described Ahmadi as “one of the most important pillars of the Basij organization” – a mass volunteer paramilitary organization.
