Grzegorz Braun appeared before prosecutors in Wrocław on Monday regarding a 2025 incident involving a gynecologist.

Anti-Abortion Protest at Prosecutor’s Office

On Monday, Grzegorz Braun arrived in Wrocław with his supporters, coinciding with a protest by approximately ten anti-abortion activists, primarily seniors.

Protesters displayed a banner at the entrance to the prosecutor’s office comparing the murder of Maksymilian Kolbe in Auschwitz to abortion.

Incident at Oleśnica Hospital

The case stems from an incident on April 16, 2025, when Braun entered the Powiatowy Zespół Szpitali in Oleśnica and attempted to obstruct the work of gynecologist Gizela Jagielska, claiming he was making a “citizen’s arrest.”

Jagielska stated that Braun entered the administrative section, blocked her path, and confined her to an administrative room.

Previous Hearing and Recusal Request

A previous hearing was scheduled for February 17th. Braun requested the recusal of prosecutor Karolina Stockiej-Mycek, leading to a suspension of proceedings pending a decision on the request.

The deputy district prosecutor denied the recusal request, and a new hearing was set for March 4th. Braun did not attend that hearing but provided justification for his absence.
