A new poll in Poland reveals that 72.8% of respondents consider Donald Trump’s military actions against Iran a failure, amid ongoing regional conflict.
Conflict in the Middle East and Donald Trump
A conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran has been ongoing since February 28th, with military actions expanding across the Persian Gulf region. The Strait of Hormuz, a crucial shipping lane for global oil supplies, is a key element of this conflict.
Poll Results: A Clear Rejection
A United Surveys poll for Wirtualna Polska asked respondents to assess the success or failure of the recent military actions by the US and Israel against Iran under the leadership of President Donald Trump. The results indicate a strong negative assessment, with 72.8% of respondents deeming the actions a failure.
Specifically, 45.1% answered “definitely a failure,” while 27.7% chose “rather a failure.” Only 10.8% viewed the actions positively, with 10.4% saying “rather a success” and 0.4% “definitely a success.” 16.4% of respondents stated they “didn’t know” or found it “difficult to say.”
Trump Seeks Iran Deal, Despite Skepticism
Reuters reported on Tuesday that Donald Trump appears determined to reach an agreement with Iran to end the war in the Middle East, citing three high-ranking Israeli officials. These officials believe Iran is unlikely to accept US demands in any new negotiations, which stalled on February 28th with the start of the US-Israeli conflict with Iran.
US demands likely include restrictions on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Trump stated on Truth Social that the US and Iran had “very good and productive” talks regarding a “complete and final end to the war in the Middle East,” but Iranian authorities denied any negotiations took place.
Israeli Perspective on Potential Agreement
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that Trump believes it’s possible to leverage the achievements of Israeli and American armed forces to achieve war goals through an agreement that secures Israel’s vital interests.
