Poland’s Ministry of National Defence has reportedly decided to suspend all aviation displays until the cause of a fatal F‑16 crash at Radom Airport is identified.

According to reports from WP, the defence ministry has decided that all air shows will be suspended pending an investigation into the crash. Military officials are cautious about the duration of the ban, suggesting the decision should rest with the armed forces.
F‑16 Crash in Radom
The incident occurred Thursday evening after 19:00 at Radom Airport during rehearsal flights before the weekend’s planned Air Show. The F‑16 fighter crashed, killing Major pilot Maciej Krakowiak of the 31st Tactical Air Base in Poznań‑Krzesiny. The 2024 Air Show was cancelled in the wake of the tragedy.
Kosiniak‑Kamysz: Family Receives Support
Vice‑premier and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz said that investigations are underway at the airport, with the prosecutor’s office and Aviation Accident Investigation Commission working independently. He noted that the pilot’s family has been under care since yesterday, with the base commander and a group of psychologists providing support. The family has requested privacy.
