Following attacks and counterattacks between the US, Israel, and Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced impending attacks on American companies.
Iran Threatens American Firms
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it will begin attacks on American firms in the region starting April 1st, according to Reuters.
The threat was directed at 18 companies, including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, IBM, Tesla, and Boeing. A statement, relayed by The Times of Israel, warned these firms “should expect the destruction of their respective facilities in retaliation for any act of terrorism in Iran, starting at 8:00 PM Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1st.”
Trump Discusses “Exploding” Iranian Facilities
On March 30th, Donald Trump stated that Washington is negotiating “with a new and more reasonable regime” regarding an end to the war in Iran.
He claimed “significant progress” has been made, but threatened that if talks do not soon reach an agreement, the US will “explode and totally destroy all of their oil refineries, shipyards and the island of Kharg, and perhaps all of their water desalination facilities.”
Israel Continues Attacks
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on Monday announcing a strike near the Caspian Sea in northern Iran, where Iranian air defense systems were located.
The military believes this attack increased the advantage of Israeli air forces.
Massive Attacks on Tehran Infrastructure
The IDF reported that, over the previous 24 hours, it had conducted massive attacks on infrastructure facilities in Tehran.
Targets included a site for the development of key ballistic missile components, a facility used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for research and development of ballistic missile systems and various types of satellite launchers, as well as a military research and development and weapons production center.
Initial Escalation of Conflict
The US and Israel reportedly attacked Iran on February 18th to destroy nuclear facilities and overthrow the government.
In response, Tehran struck American bases in the region and blocked the Strait of Hormuz. According to Al Jazeera reports, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced at the end of March that it had carried out attacks on aluminum production facilities in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, claiming they were linked to the US military.
A tanker was also set on fire off the coast of Dubai, and similar attacks may occur soon.
