Polish police deployed counter-terrorism units and a Black Hawk helicopter near Warsaw’s “Radosław” roundabout early this morning, conducting an undisclosed operation.
Police Action Confirmed
TVN24 first reported the police operation, receiving footage of a police helicopter circling near the “Radosław” Army Home Group roundabout. Several officers reportedly rappelled from the helicopter.
Armed counter-terrorism officers were also seen on the roof of a building at 2 Kłopot Street, with several unmarked vehicles stationed in front of the building.
Operation Details Released
The Radom Voivodeship Police Headquarters confirmed to Gazeta.pl that the operation in the “Radosław” roundabout area was their undertaking, stating they could provide no further details at the time. Radio RDC reported the operation was not a drill.
Central Counter-Terrorism Unit Involved
TVN24 reported that the Central Counter-Terrorism Unit “BOA” participated in the operation. This unit specializes in combating terrorism and apprehending dangerous criminals, undertaking high-risk operations.
The BOA unit was reportedly supported by the Police’s Independent Counter-Terrorism Subunits during the Warsaw operation, which concluded before 7:00 AM.
