The funeral of prominent Polish musician Stanisław Soyka will be held on Monday, September 8th, at 12 PM in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 16 Alfred Nobel Street, followed by burial at the Warsaw Military Powązki Cemetery.
Funeral Details and Family’s Privacy Appeal
The family of the late artist requested that the mourning be conducted in an atmosphere of silence, concentration, and shared prayer. They made a public appeal asking for respect for their privacy: “During this difficult time for us, we ask for our privacy to be respected, no photographs to be taken, and no condolences to be offered.”
Bio of Stanisław Soyka
Stanisław Soyka was a legendary vocalist, pianist, guitarist, violinist, and composer. He was closely associated with Polish Radio throughout his career. In recent years, he informed that he had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. “I have diabetes in my family, so I know it’s a disease that complicates life.” He said in an interview with “Your Style.”
Ministry of Culture’s Tribute
The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage issued a statement saying, “With deep sorrow, we received the news of Stanisław Soyka’s passing. His departure is a great loss for Polish musical scenes.”
