Doctor’s Urgent Plea As Schools Reopen: “This Is Hell” for Many Children

A doctor warns that for many children, the start of the school year represents “the beginning of hell” where they must navigate until June, or potentially attempt suicide.

Warning of Systemic Issues

The doctor highlighted the “rat race” mentality of many schools, stating, “For 26 years as an emergency medicine physician working in rescue teams and emergency departments, I have dealt with people – often children and youth – who have made the decision to end their lives. During interviews, I ask, ‘What led you to make the decision to take your own life?’ In 85% of responses, the motive can be compared to a reading: ‘Please gentlemen, to gas.'”

Lack of Support and Communication

The author emphasized the most dramatic element of the situation: the lack of hope for change. “The greatest drama of education is the fact that we have accepted a destructive system in our lives.” He added, “I want to emphasize that in this post, I’m not ‘throwing everyone into one bag’ all schools, teachers, educators, educators, pedagogues, psychologists – because, as in every profession, there are people who perform this mission with the highest professionalism and dedication.”

Danger of Escalation Through Suppression

He also noted the role of teachers and school educational staff in this matter, saying, “Their engagement can often be compared to value of an RCB alert: it exists, no one cares, and in reality it contributes little to life.”
