A man died after being hit by a train near Ursus, Warsaw, on Thursday, April 9th, at 7:28 PM, disrupting rail traffic.

Emergency services received a report of a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a train on the railway line in the Ursus area on Thursday, April 9th, at 19:28. The incident occurred at kilometer 10 of the tracks from Warsaw towards Grodzisk Mazowiecki, near the Ursus-Niedźwiadek station.
Preliminary police investigations indicate the man was crossing the tracks in a prohibited area when he was struck by the train.
Emergency Response
Police, medical rescue teams, and the fire brigade were dispatched to the scene. Medical personnel were unable to save the man, who died at the scene.
Train Disruption and Passenger Assistance
The train, number 13000/1 (PKP INTERCITY Spółka Akcyjna) traveling from Mockava to Kraków Główny, stopped approximately 400 meters past the Ursus-Niedźwiadek station. The fire brigade assisted passengers in safely transferring to another train.
Rail traffic on the section between Warsaw Włochy and Pruszków, on the long-distance line, was disrupted. Delays of approximately 30 minutes were expected.
