An 89-year-old man struck two women while driving near Smulska, Poland, on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in their hospitalization.
Incident Details
The incident occurred after 4:30 PM in the vicinity of Smulska, within the Załuski municipality and Płońsk county.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the two pedestrians, aged 61 and 47, both residents of the Załuski municipality, were likely crossing the road at an intersection when struck by a Peugeot driven by an 89-year-old man from Warsaw.
The driver was sober and had a passenger in the vehicle.
Emergency Response
The 61-year-old woman, sustaining bodily injuries, was airlifted to the hospital by the Polish Air Ambulance Service (LPR).
The 47-year-old woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Ongoing Investigation
Emergency services are currently at the scene. A forensic investigation team and criminal technicians will soon conduct further investigations.
