Polish Air Force Asks Media to Resepect Private Funeral of Major Krakowiak

The family of Major Krzysztof “Slaba” Krakowiak, who died in a F-16 crash, requests that they be left alone during his private funeral, while the Air Force warns against speculation about the accident.

Family’s Emotional Plea

The 31. Tactical Air Base in Poznań issued an appeal from the family of the fallen pilot, asking for respect and privacy during their final farewell. “We request that representatives of the media refrain from participating in the ceremony and abstain from recording or reporting,” the statement read.

Official Statement on Crash Investigation

The Air Force emphasized the need for responsible reporting while the investigation into the causes of the crash remains ongoing. They noted that “any unchecked opinions or speculations might mislead, provoke unnecessary emotions, and hinder the accurate informing of society,” cautioning against accepting uninformed commentary.
