Girl, 6, Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle on Private Property

A six-year-old girl died in hospital after being hit by a Toyota on a private property in Opacz-Kolonia, Pruszków County, on Friday afternoon.

Incident Details

The incident occurred around 4:00 PM on Friday, April 17th, in Opacz-Kolonia, Pruszków County. A man driving a Toyota struck the six-year-old girl while entering or leaving a property.

Child’s Condition and Death

The child was taken to a hospital, but succumbed to her injuries. Young Corporal Paweł Chmura of the Warsaw Police Headquarters confirmed the death.

Unconfirmed Reports: Father Involved

Unofficial reports suggest the driver of the vehicle was the girl’s father. It is alleged the girl ran out to greet her father as he was driving onto the property. Police have not confirmed this information.

Driver’s Sobriety and Investigation

The driver was confirmed to be sober. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident under the supervision of a prosecutor.
