A planned meeting in Warsaw’s Wola district turned violent as a man was robbed and assaulted by a group of four individuals.
Attack in Warsaw Apartment
The assault occurred in a rented apartment in Warsaw’s Wola district. The victim had arranged to meet a woman, but was then confronted by another woman and two masked men. A third assailant waited outside.
One attacker wielded a knife and a weightlifting grip, while another had a telescopic baton. The perpetrators allegedly demanded money before assaulting the man, causing bodily harm, and stealing his belongings and cash.
Police Pursuit and Arrests
Police located the suspects in Warsaw’s Wawer district following an investigation and securing of evidence from the scene. Intensive operational actions led officers to Wawer.
Three individuals – a 17-year-old, a 23-year-old, and a 16-year-old – were arrested. The 17-year-old was wanted by a juvenile detention center, and the 16-year-old by a shelter for minors. Over 24 grams of flephedrone were found on the 16-year-old.
A fourth suspect, a 20-year-old, was later apprehended on the street and also found to be in possession of narcotics.
Prior Criminal Records
Police confirmed that the suspects were previously known to law enforcement. The 23-year-old had been released from prison in February after serving a sentence for a crime against property.
He had also been repeatedly wanted and arrested 14 times previously, according to authorities.
Charges and Detention
All suspects were taken into police custody, and investigators gathered evidence. They were then brought to the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged the suspects with robbery with the use of a dangerous tool, combined with causing bodily harm exceeding seven days. Investigators determined they acted jointly and in concert. The 23-year-old faces additional charges as a repeat offender.
Two suspects also face charges related to possession of narcotics.
Custody Orders
On the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered a three-month detention for three of the suspects. The crimes carry a penalty of 3 to 20 years imprisonment. The 16-year-old was placed in a shelter for minors, with further decisions to be made by the family court.
The investigation is being supervised by the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor’s Office.
