On Monday, April 27th, around 10:30 AM, a fire broke out at a warehouse building on Maria Konopnicka Street in Słupno, Wołomin County. The fire engulfed an area of approximately 400 square meters, also affecting a semi-trailer truck and its trailer nearby.
Extensive Firefighting Efforts
Numerous fire crews were dispatched to the scene, with approximately 10 units participating, including teams from Warsaw. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully developed fire at the warehouse and the adjacent vehicles.
Protecting Nearby Structures
Firefighters directed water streams onto the burning warehouse, tractor unit, and trailer. Simultaneously, they worked to protect a nearby residential building and an office building that were close to the blaze.
Building Collapse and Containment
The roof of the burning building collapsed due to the high temperatures. Firefighters secured the area and worked to prevent the fire from spreading to other structures.
Fire Localized and Extinguished
The fire was contained before 12:00 PM, meaning it stopped spreading. Crews then focused on cooling and extinguishing the remaining embers to prevent reignition.
