Warsaw will host the 34th Constitution 3rd May Run on Sunday, resulting in significant street closures and public transport diversions in the city center.
Race Route and Timing
The race will start and finish at Plac Trzech Krzyży at 11:00 AM. The route includes Aleje Ujazdowskie, Bagatela, Marszałkowska, Mokotowska, Piękna, Plac Konstytucji, Marszałkowska, Aleje Jerozolimskie, and Nowy Świat.
Plac Trzech Krzyży Closure
Plac Trzech Krzyży will be closed from 3:00 AM on Sunday, May 3rd. Traffic on Aleje Ujazdowskie heading towards the palm will be diverted onto Piękna Street, either right or left. Access from Hoża Street will be limited to Mokotowska Street.
A passage from Bracka and Żurawia to Książęca will remain open under police supervision, but a left turn from Książęca onto Plac Trzech Krzyży will be prohibited. The same restriction applies to the Rondo de Gaulle’a. Traffic will be allowed to exit Mysia Street towards Aleje Jerozolimskie until the race begins.
Plac Trzech Krzyży will remain closed until 4:30 PM.
Książęca Street Restrictions
Książęca Street will be closed from 7:00 AM, along with Żurawia Street from Krucza to Plac Trzech Krzyży, allowing only access to Bracka Street. Książęca Street will reopen at 2:00 PM.
Street Closures During the Race
Remaining streets along the race route will close at 10:00 AM and reopen at 1:30 PM. Streets leading to the route and residential exits will also be closed during this time. One lane will remain open on Marszałkowska Street between Wilcza and Żurawia, heading towards the city center. Traffic on Marszałkowska Street towards Plac Konstytucji will remain unchanged.
Pedestrians will only be able to cross the route at designated points and times indicated by security personnel or the police.
Parking Restrictions
Parking restrictions will begin on Saturday, May 2nd, at noon on Aleja Na Skarpie, near the Earth Museum. Parking will also be prohibited on Prusa Street, opposite the hotel, from 4:00 PM. Further parking restrictions on Plac Trzech Krzyży will be in effect from 3:00 AM on Sunday, May 3rd.
Parking will be prohibited on race route streets from 10:00 AM on May 3rd. Parking will be restored on route streets at 1:00 PM and on Plac Trzech Krzyży and surrounding areas at 4:00 PM.
Public Transport Diversions
Warsaw public transport will experience diversions from early Sunday morning, May 3rd. Buses will be rerouted until approximately 3:00 PM.
At 8:00 AM, when Plac Trzech Krzyży is fully closed, buses on lines 127 and 131 will be diverted via Aleje Jerozolimskie, Wioślarska, and Ludna. Between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, the entire race route will be closed to traffic, affecting buses on lines 100, 107, 108, 111, 116, 117, 118, 127, 131, 158, 159, 166, 180, 180, 503, 507, 517, 520, 521, and 525.
