Following its meeting on Wednesday, the Monetary Policy Council decided to keep interest rates at their current levels. The central bank’s main reference rate remains at 3.75 percent.

The National Bank of Poland confirmed in a Wednesday statement that rates were not changed, keeping the primary reference rate steady at 3.75 percent.

Breakdown of Interest Rates

Under the current decision, the deposit rate stands at 3.25 percent and the lombard rate is 4.25 percent. The rediscount rate is set at 3.8 percent, while the discount rate is 3.85 percent.

Recent Policy Trends

The Monetary Policy Council has implemented one interest rate cut so far this year, having reduced rates by 0.25 percentage points in early March.
