Woman Murdered Near Warsaw; Body of 67-Year-Old Suspect Found

A woman was murdered in Raszyn on Thursday, triggering a massive police manhunt that ended with the discovery of her 67-year-old partner’s body in a cemetery.

The incident occurred on Thursday, May 7, in Raszyn, Pruszków County. At approximately 4:30 PM, the Provincial Emergency Notification Center received a life-threatening report regarding a single-family home, where police discovered two children on the property and a woman’s body inside the house.

Circumstances indicated that the woman’s 67-year-old partner may have been responsible for her death before fleeing the scene by car. Unofficial reports from TVP3 suggest the perpetrator was a Polish national and the victim was of Vietnamese origin.

Two People Dead

According to unofficial information from Wyborcza, the tragedy unfolded in front of the two children. The Pruszków District Police Command stated that the children have been placed under immediate care.

Police Manhunt and Discovery

A manhunt was launched involving the Pruszków District Police, the Warsaw Metropolitan Police, the Police Prevention Unit, and the Counter-Terrorism Subunit. At approximately 8:00 PM, the body of the 67-year-old man was discovered at a cemetery in Prażmów, according to Deputy Commissioner Monika Orlik.
