A fire broke out in a vacant building on Chylońska Street in Włochy on Monday, May 11, shortly before 2:00 PM. The blaze engulfed one of two very close structures.

Thick Smoke Visible

Dense, black smoke rose over the area, a sight visible from a considerable distance. Three fire crews were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters’ Actions

Firefighters focused their efforts on containing the blaze and securing the adjacent building, which stood directly next to the burning vacant structure.

Evacuation and Medical Treatment

Three individuals evacuated the burning building. Witnesses reported they were homeless individuals who had been living in the structure for years. A medical rescue team examined them after their evacuation.

Building Status

The building where the fire originated was completely destroyed. Firefighters successfully protected the neighboring building. Fire departments, police, and a medical rescue team were present at the scene.
