Chełmno Bus Accident: Elderly Driver Hits 5 Pedestrians; Police Search for Witnesses

An elderly driver, operating a Mitsubishi, struck five individuals in Chełmno on July 11th before harming two young girls.

Driver’s Actions

A 56-year-old man driving under the wrong direction first struck three pedestrians on a sidewalk before hitting two more in Haller Street.

Pedestrian Injuries

Among the victims were three individuals on the sidewalk and two girls aged 11 and 13.

Police Appeal

Authorities are seeking contact with a woman standing near the ES-Bus at the time of the accident, along with a woman and a man crossing from Grudziądzka Street into Rynek Street pushing a stroller.

Voluntary Assistance Requested

Anyone with information about the incident is requested to contact Chełmno’s Municipal Police Department at either their office on Świętojerska Street or through their 24-hour hotline.
